Ayatollah Jawad Fazel Lankarani Addressing Vigilance Congress

Addressing Vigilance Congress, member of the Society of Teachers of the Islamic Seminary of Qom, Ayatollah Sheikh Jawad Fazel Lankarani said:  "Before the Islamic revolution the people had not found their real identity and the regime of the then time used all possible means to keep people away from active arenas".

Speaking about Iran's atomic issue he said, "Human virtues, intellect and religion have improved day by day ever since the victory of the Islamic revolution."

He added: "If the Islamic revolution has made significant achievements and has attained a high scientific stage, it is certainly because of the religion of Islam."

Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani further added, "It is owing to the religion of Islam and the revolution that the Iranian youths are taking proud steps in genetic and scientific areas.  If religion did not have an active presence in the society, the statesmen and those in charge of the affairs of the country would not show any resistance against the conspiracies of the global imperialism".

The Islamic revolution took place with God's help and over the years it had been under the blessed attention of the Imam of the Time (a.s.) ".

He reiterated, "The faithful and educated youth of the revolution have opened a new gate in the scientific arena. If they want to further succeed in their efforts, they ought to strengthen their faith in Islam".

 He said, "God forbid, if one day our scientists put aside the torch of revelation, they will fall into darkness and destruction. You must be vigilant and wary of the enemies' efforts to put off the torch of Islam and eradicate the values of the Islamic revolution".

Ayatollah Sheikh Jawad Lankarani said, "Unlike the enemies who are using science to create atomic weapons, our youths are using science to spread divine religion and logic".
